How Does Water Detox the Body?
Diets January 25th, 2009
I‘m consuming plenty of water a day and I‘m really noticing the benefits. But I‘m also doing other things like eating veggies and fruits for my main diet. I used to be HUGELY addicted to sugar, salt, caffeine, etc. I was once able to eat 2 Large French Fries a day!
I‘ve lost almost 30lbs just cutting the crap out.
I want to know the exact benefits of water and how it works in your system. I do pee alot and am wondering if that’s good or bad. How does it help metabolism, liver, etc?

Well I don’t exactly know how it detoxs the body but that’s probably something you can look up on google or some other search engine. And I don’t know what it does to your live but I do know that it helps to speed up your metabolism so you burn calories quicker. Sorry I’m not very helpful.

When you go to the bathroom, youre ridding your body of toxins, if you dont drink enough, you dont pee, so you dont rid your body of those toxins. So drinking alot aids in doing that.

Actually, you are doing more to detox your body than you think. First, you have quit putting in more toxins. Second, you are eating the fruits and vegetables that give your body the nutrients it needs plus the fiber it needs.
You can drink too much water. 64 ounces a day is the recommended amount. If you drink 64 ounces a day, you immune system will work better, you bladder and kidneys will stay healthy, and you will not become dehydrated.
If you feel you are peeing too much, visit your doctor. Excessive peeing can be a symptom of diabetes or pre-diabetes. It sounds like your body is getting rid of the excess water the salt and caffeine made it hold, but only you know if the peeing is a cause of concern to you.
I have a post ‘Water - Our Friend or Our Enemy?’ on my blog Be The Weight You Want. It goes into the type of water you drink and the benefits of water.
