When looking to lose some weight your body needs to burn more calories in a day than you consume. It’s that simple. One proven method to do this is by lowering your caloric intake, or basically cutting calories. The practice of cutting calories isn’t easy, but with that said it’s not tough either. With a few tips you can make cutting calories a lot more enjoyable.
Smaller Tableware – This may sound a little crazy, but studies have revealed that merely swapping larger plates for smaller ones may result in consuming less without even noticing. Essentially, you’re content with what’s on your plate, and if less is on your plate, the less calories you consume.
Take Half To Go – Restaurant meals can be extremely calorie dense and their serving sizes seem to keep increasing. Ask for a to-go box immediately and place half your meal in it to take home.
Food That Fills – Reports have shown that eating water-dense foods, like fruits, veggies and broth-based soups actually fill you up faster, without the extra calories. A good trick is to consume these foods at the beginning of the meal to fill up before you start on the more calorie dense main dish.
Portion It Out – A little tip to lower the amount of processed junk foods you take in is to portion out these foods into smaller containers. It’s extremely easy to eat an entire box of cookies at one time. But, if you have them portioned out in smaller bags you are more likely to eat just that.
Following these techniques in conjunction with a proper low calorie diet plan and physical activity will have you losing weight as quickly and easily as possible.
