The Link With Keratosis Pilaris And Detoxing Your Insides

Detoxing your insides is very significant at least once, yearly. If you haven’t ever looked into detoxification before, then please pay attention carefully as you will soon be taught that it can dramatically assist with the appearance of your Keratosis Pilaris.
With my personal experience, once I learned about the importance of detoxification and it’s benefit not just on your skin but your overall health I jumped on board.
When I detoxed for the first time, i actually wasn’t doing it as an experiment to clear up my Keratosis Pilaris as i was a little clueless at this point with what was causing my KERATOSIS PILARIS.
I was doing this because I was having some issues with my overall health and digestion and as a fine surprise my Keratosis Pilaris on my legs cleared up with in about three weeks later I stopped detoxing.
Because this detox was something that I had composed myself before I was a qualified Naturopath, and it was my first time – I can see back and say that I didn’t detox correctly. I knew this because when I detoxed my Keratosis Pilaris got very bad everwhere on my legs (it was already terrible, but this was horrendous) new bumps were coming that were really large, angry and red.
This was super scary at the beginning because I did not really comprehend what was happening initially. I wasn’t sustaining all of my elimination organs right and as a result my body was using my skin (the biggest organ!) as an elimination channel.
Even though my skin got worse, it did show me the link between my digestive system/liver and my skin and that they were very intimately connected.
If the environment of our digestive system is poor and we are not eliminating toxins regularly with daily bowel movements of 1-2 times daily, then our waste system will begin to get very back logged and our body will find other ways to store or eliminate toxins.
Many factors can add to an underfunctioning digestive system including:
* Alcohol
* Stress
* Refined Sugar
* Antibiotics
* Medications
* Lack of fibre
Every one of these factors can lead to overgrowth of harmful bacteria, candida, constipation, inflammation and food sensitivities that all take part in a very unhealthy environment for the digestive system. When our digestive system isn’t functioning at its optimum, then ‘auto-intoxication’ can take place where our own insides are causing us to be toxic.
This means our body needs to find a back up plan to get rid of this waste, and this is where our skin can become very handy. Our body forces this waste to be eliminated through our skin or it stores the toxins in little garbage sacks underneath the skin to deal with later.
All of this can create bumpy skin like Keratosis Pilaris.
Before this post gets excessively long, I want to include if you do any kind of detoxification you must maintain your liver and kidneys at the same time or you may have what has happened to me and it could get worse.
Also if you’re chronically constipated do not detox until you eliminate at least once a day.
Please share if you have had any experience with detoxification, exactly what you used and how it benefited your KERATOSIS PILARIS!
